Mason jars are amazing! I love them and their simple, rustic charm. I used to only use them as vases and home decor, but now they have become my go-to storage in the kitchen.
Recently, I started using large mason jars to store my fresh fruits after giving them a special white vinegar wash, and now my berries and grapes are fresher than ever! But I did come into a bit of a problem with my mason jars... I don't like the lids.
The two-part lids are designed for canning purposes--the band (or the ring) can be reused with the jar while the lid itself is intended to vacuum seal and be disposed of after one use.
I don't use my mason jars for canning, I only use them for easy storage.
Dealing with a two-part lid just became a hassle and a nuisance. Also, the lids can rust. I received six hand-me-down jars from my husband's grandmother, but the lids were completely rusted. When I was looking to buy new lids, I came across these game changers!

These plastic, reusable, leak-proof mason jar lids were only $3.99 at Target. I was even pleasantly surprised when I realized it was actually a box of six lids, not two like I originally thought! They come in either regular-mouth size or wide-mouth.
These lids have made it SO easy to grab what I need from the jars. My husband also pointed out they would fit on our mason jar cups, too, so I might just give that a try!
